The Confession I Didn’t Want to Make
I remember the day I sent a text that terrified me.
Not because of what it said – it was just “hey 👋” – but because of what sending it meant.
It meant I stopped waiting for him to prove I was worthy of his attention.
It meant I stopped outsourcing my voice to someone else’s timing.
It meant I had to die to the version of myself who believed that if I just waited long enough, stayed quiet enough, managed my desire enough – he would finally reach out and prove I wasn’t rejectable.
Spoiler alert: I was rejecting myself the entire time.
And if you’re reading this from that same waiting energy – that breathless, helpless, “I can’t reach out first because what if he doesn’t respond” space – I need you to know something:
You’re not protecting yourself. You’re abandoning yourself.
The Divine Feminine Trap We Don’t Talk About
There’s this pervasive teaching in the Twin Flame and divine feminine community that goes something like this:
“The divine feminine receives. She doesn’t chase. She waits for the divine masculine to pursue her. If he’s truly interested, he’ll prove it by reaching out first.”
And on the surface, it sounds empowering. It sounds like boundaries. It sounds like self-respect.
But here’s what it actually is: spiritual bypassing dressed up as “divine feminine” wisdom.
Because what we’re really saying is:
- I need permission from him before I can express myself
- I fear rejection so much that I’ll disguise my silence as “being in my feminine energy”
- I’m outsourcing my voice – my literal throat chakra expression – to his initiation
- I’m making his behavior mean something about my worth
And the cruelest irony? The throat chakra belongs to the divine feminine.
The upper chakras – throat (Vishuddha), third eye (Ajna), crown (Sahasrara) – are the domain of the feminine principle. They govern:
- Expression (throat)
- Intuition (third eye)
- Connection to Source (crown)
When we sit in waiting energy, when we refuse to speak first, when we make our voice contingent on someone else’s permission – we are literally severing ourselves from our own divine feminine power.
We’re handing our throat chakra to the masculine and saying, “Here, you activate this for me. You prove I’m safe enough to speak. You initiate so I don’t have to risk being seen.”
That’s not divine feminine energy. That’s trauma.
My North Node Knew This Was Coming
I have North Node in Scorpio in the 1st House, ruled by Mars (and Pluto).
My South Node is in Taurus in the 7th House, ruled by Venus.
Let me translate what this means energetically, because this is the exact evolutionary lesson my soul came here to learn – and it’s probably yours too if you’re reading this.
Turns Out My South Node is in Taurus, 7th House: My Old Pattern
Taurus energy: Stability, comfort, material security, peace, predictability, maintaining what is
7th House: Partnerships, relationships, the “other,” compromise, harmony, being defined by who loves you
Ruled by Venus: Beauty, value, worth, pleasure, being desired
The karmic pattern I brought in:
I believed that my worth was determined by being chosen. By being stable enough, pleasant enough, valuable enough that someone else would want to partner with me.
I could maintain peace. I could be the steady, reliable, beautiful presence. I could wait in my inherent value and the right person (I was secretly hoping it was my twin flame) would eventually see it and choose me.
Translation: “I am worth what others are willing to give me. My value is proven by their pursuit. I will wait to be chosen rather than risk choosing myself.”
This is the Taurus in 7th House shadow: outsourcing your sense of worth to partnership, believing that stability comes from being received rather than being sovereign, waiting for someone else to validate that you’re valuable enough to pursue.
I was making my worth contingent on his initiation.
I found out my North Node is in Scorpio, 1st House: This Is My NEW Evolutionary Edge
Scorpio energy: Transformation, death and rebirth, intensity, psychological depth, power, annihilation of the false self
1st House: Identity, self-expression, how you show up, the persona you embody, I AM
Ruled by Mars (and Pluto): The warrior, the destroyer, the one who initiates transformation through confrontation with what’s hidden
The soul’s directive:
I am here to learn that my identity is not determined by who chooses me. It’s forged through my willingness to destroy who I’m not.
Not through being valuable to others.
Not through waiting to be pursued.
Not through maintaining comfort and stability in relationships.
Through claiming myself. Through initiating my own transformation. Through being so fucking intense in my self-expression that I either catalyze evolution or clear the field.
The 1st House North Node means I’m here to embody myself fully – and Scorpio means that self is discovered through death and rebirth, through going into the shadow, through refusing to play small.
I have to burn myself into existence.
And every time I wait for someone else to go first, every time I make my self-worth contingent on their choice, every time I prioritize harmony over truth – I am refusing my soul’s evolutionary path.
My NEW Archetypal Frequency: Scorpio in the 1st House
Let’s go deeper into what I discovered, the energetic signature here, because this is where the real medicine is.
Scorpio: The Phoenix, The Shaman, The Alchemist
Archetypal energy: Persephone, Hades, the descent into the underworld, the death that precedes rebirth, the snake shedding its skin, the Phoenix rising from ashes it set itself.
Scorpio doesn’t preserve. Scorpio destroys what’s false so truth can emerge.
This is the energy of:
- Annihilation as initiation
- Psychological excavation
- Sexual and creative power that transforms
- Refusing to stay on the surface
- Being the catalyst for everyone’s shadow work
1st House: The Self, The Persona, The “I AM”
Archetypal energy: Aries/Mars – the point of emergence, the mask you wear, how you enter rooms, the first impression, your identity independent of anyone else.
The 1st House is where we:
- Claim our right to exist
- Express our essential nature
- Show up as ourselves without apology
- Initiate our own life instead of waiting for permission
This is the energy of:
- Self-assertion
- Personal sovereignty
- “This is who I am, regardless of your response”
- Leading with your truth, not your agreeableness
Scorpio in the 1st House: The Initiation
When you combine them:
You get someone who IS transformation incarnate.
Someone whose very presence demands: “Are you willing to go deep, or are we done here?”
Someone who doesn’t wait for others to make her safe – who initiates her own identity death and rebirth and invites you to witness it or leave.
This is me. And if you’re resonating with this, it might be you too.
We are not here to be chosen.
We are here to be so undeniably ourselves that we force everyone around us to evolve or exit.
Even when it’s uncomfortable.
Even when it threatens the relationship.
Even when it means burning down the stable, pleasant persona we built to be lovable.
Because the transformation happens in the self-claiming, not in being validated by someone else.
The Taurus/Scorpio Axis: Security vs. Transformation
Here’s the core tension in this nodal journey:
South Node Taurus (especially in the 7th House): “I am safe when I am stable, when I am chosen, when the relationship is harmonious, when my value is recognized and I don’t have to risk losing what I have.”
North Node Scorpio (especially in the 1st House): “I am alive when I risk everything, when I claim myself regardless of who stays, when I prioritize truth over comfort, when I burn down false stability to find real power.”
Taurus wants to hold on.
Scorpio wants to let go – or more accurately, to destroy what needs to die.
Taurus says: “But what if I lose him? What if I’m not chosen? What if my worth isn’t recognized?”
Scorpio says: “If it can be lost, it was never yours. If you have to perform to be chosen, you were never free. Burn it down and find out who you are in the ashes.”
This is the journey from:
- Being defined by relationship → Being defined by self-sovereignty
- Waiting to be pursued → Initiating transformation
- Deriving worth from being desired → Deriving power from being undeniably yourself
- Maintaining stable partnerships → Catalyzing evolutionary partnerships (or clearing the field entirely)
What I Was Really Doing By Waiting
When I wouldn’t reach out first, when I waited for him to prove my value by initiating, when I made his pursuit the measurement of my worth – I was living in my South Node.
I was saying:
- “My value is determined by whether you choose me” (Taurus)
- “I will wait in the relationship container for you to make the first move” (7th House)
- “I need external validation that I’m desirable before I can risk being seen” (Venus-ruled)
That’s the karmic comfort zone.
It feels safe because it’s familiar. I can control my presentation. I can be stable, grounded, valuable. I can wait to be received instead of risking initiation.
But here’s what that pattern actually cost me:
My self.
Because every moment I waited for him to reach out first, I was outsourcing my identity to his choice. I was making “being chosen” more important than “choosing myself.”
I was abandoning my 1st House North Node – the evolutionary directive to claim my own identity independent of partnership.
The Throat Chakra Rebellion
Here’s what I realized that day, in the moment I sent that text:
I had been treating my throat chakra like it belonged to him.
Like I needed his initiation, his interest, his pursuit to give me permission to speak.
But the throat chakra – Vishuddha, the purification center, the bridge between heart and mind – is governed by ether/space element and sound/vibration.
It is the chakra of:
- Truth-telling
- Creative expression
- Authentic voice
- Self-expression without apology
And in the chakra system, the upper three chakras (throat, third eye, crown) are feminine in polarity.
The lower three (root, sacral, solar plexus) are masculine.
The heart is the meeting point.
What does this mean?
It means that when we silence ourselves, when we wait for the masculine (internal or external) to give us permission to speak – we are severing our connection to our own feminine power.
We are making the masculine (action, initiation, pursuit) responsible for activating our feminine (expression, intuition, connection to Source).
That’s backwards.
The divine feminine doesn’t wait for permission to express herself.
She IS expression itself.
What Changed When I Stopped Waiting
When I sent that text – not to get a response, not to prove anything, not to manage an outcome – something shifted.
I wasn’t texting him.
I was texting the old version of me and telling her that that identity was dead.
The version who:
- Needed to be chosen before she could claim herself
- Believed her worth was determined by his pursuit
- Stayed in Taurus 7th House safety instead of Scorpio 1st House sovereignty
- Made “being received” more important than “being real”
She’s gone now.
And what’s here instead is someone who:
- Claims herself regardless of who chooses her
- Initiates because that’s what aliveness requires
- Knows her power isn’t contingent on external validation
- Understands that transformation happens in the self-assertion, not in being pursued
This is Scorpio in the 1st House energy in full expression:
The Phoenix that sets itself on fire and walks out of the flames as someone new.
Not waiting for permission to burn.
Not needing someone else to validate the rebirth.
Just becoming. Relentlessly. Unapologetically.
Your North Node is Calling

Risk losing everything to find out who you really are.
Not because it’s comfortable.
Not because you’re guaranteed to be chosen.
Because that’s how you die to the old self and become who you actually are.
North Node & South Node: The Cosmic Curriculum
Your South Node is your karmic comfort zone – the skills, patterns, and energies you’ve mastered (often over multiple lifetimes). It’s familiar. It feels safe. But it’s also where you stagnate if you stay there.
Your North Node is your evolutionary edge – the qualities, experiences, and frequencies your soul came here to develop. It’s unfamiliar. It feels risky. But it’s where your growth, purpose, and liberation live.
The nodes are always in polarity:
- Aries ↔ Libra (self vs. other)
- Taurus ↔ Scorpio (stability vs. transformation / material vs. psychological / holding on vs. letting go)
- Gemini ↔ Sagittarius (communication vs. philosophy)
- Cancer ↔ Capricorn (nurturing vs. mastery)
- Leo ↔ Aquarius (individual expression vs. collective)
- Virgo ↔ Pisces (discernment vs. dissolution)
The journey is not to abandon the South Node but to integrate it in service of the North Node.
For me:
- South Node Taurus in 7th: I bring the capacity for deep value, for recognizing worth, for creating beauty in relationship
- North Node Scorpio in 1st: I use that to claim my own power, to transform myself relentlessly, to be undeniably ME in a way that catalyzes everyone I touch
I don’t lose the ability to create value. I stop outsourcing my worth to whether others choose me and start embodying power that doesn’t need external validation.
