Why You Shouldn’t Talk to Normies About Your Twin Flame…

Hey, it’s Mary, the Twin Flame Alchemist. Today, let’s talk about something that can seriously complicate your Twin Flame journey—talking to people who aren’t on this path about your Twin Flame.

If you’ve done this already, you know exactly what I’m talking about: the judgment, the misunderstanding, the confusion it creates in you. And if you haven’t, trust me, there’s a reason why keeping your journey close to your heart is wise. So let’s get real about why this matters, what kind of impact it can have, and what you should do instead.

But first, quick note! I’ve got some free stuff for you, and you don’t want to miss it. I’m talking about my free mini-course, 12 Myths and Mistakes You’re Believing on the Twin Flame Journey. If you’re in separation or struggling with alignment, there’s a high chance you’re carrying beliefs that keep you stuck.

And if you’re ready for real support, check out my upcoming Twin Flame Alchemy Mastermind, where we dig deep into these topics in an in-depth 7 week course & together in twice a week group coaching. But back to today’s real talk—why you’re better off keeping certain details of your journey between yourself and those who truly understand.

1. It’s Not a “Normal” Relationship—And People Won’t Get That

Let’s start with this: the Twin Flame journey isn’t ordinary. It doesn’t follow the relationship norms that society lays out for us. Most people—good-hearted as they might be—simply don’t have a framework for understanding it. They’ll try to box it into what they know: they might tell you you’re just in limerence, that you’re obsessed, or that you need to “move on.” And let’s be clear: the “move on” advice is fundamentally flawed.

You can’t “move on” from your soul. That’s not how this works.

When you try to explain what you’re feeling or experiencing, they might throw terms at you, saying it’s all in your head, or worse, that you need help or therapy. Can you imagine what that does to your own sense of clarity and peace on this journey? Trying to explain to people who don’t understand will only create more doubt and confusion for you. So why take that on?

2. Their Advice Comes from a 3D Perspective

Friends and family members might care deeply about you, but they’re viewing things from the 3D, ego-based world, where logic and labels are everything. When you tell them about feeling “connected to your twin on a soul level” or about your intense, energetic & telepathic connection, they’re going to interpret it as attachment or obsession. From that viewpoint, it’s only natural for them to tell you to distance yourself. But here’s the truth: “distance” doesn’t dissolve a soul connection.

The answer to what you’re going through is alignment—not avoidance.

It’s hard for others to see beyond their personal experiences. They’ll likely give you advice that applies to conventional relationships, advice that might sound logical, but will lead you further from the truth of the journey. And following that advice could actually *block* you, keeping you stuck in fear-based energy that’s completely counterproductive to your path.

3. You Risk Diluting Your Own Inner Knowing

The Twin Flame journey is meant to strip away everything that’s false, bringing you closer to who you truly are. It’s a deeply personal journey, one that’s designed to help you align with your soul. The more you turn to people who don’t “get it,” the more you’ll be pulled away from that inner knowing.

Your truth is within YOU.

Going to people for validation or trying to justify what you feel can pull you off course. You’ll end up questioning things that you were actually clear on because they didn’t match someone else’s understanding or approval. So let’s be clear: the only understanding that matters is the one you cultivate within yourself.

4. This Journey Is Here to Purify, Not Complicate Your Energy

If you’ve been on the journey for a while, you already know it has a way of digging up every buried fear, every piece of unhealed trauma, and every limiting belief that’s hiding in your subconscious. It’s intense because it’s meant to be.

The pain, the longing, the doubts—they’re all meant to be released so you can purify your energy & align with your highest self.

But when you go to others for support, they’ll inevitably mix their own fears and judgments with their advice. They’ll suggest you suppress or ignore what you’re feeling instead of facing it. This is the exact opposite of what the journey calls for. Embrace what comes up, and work with someone who understands this purification process.

5. Find People Who Are Truly Aligned With This Path

So, what should you do instead? Here’s my advice: seek out others who are either on the same journey or have walked it and understand it. When you connect with people who genuinely understand Twin Flames, you’re not just getting advice—you’re receiving resonance, alignment, and encouragement to grow. It’s powerful to have someone by your side who sees the entire picture and can guide you back to your own truth, not theirs.

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about providing resources and coaching specifically for Twin Flames.

I know how isolating and confusing this journey can feel when you’re trying to explain it to people who don’t get it. So if you’re feeling stuck or misunderstood, lean into resources that are made for this journey.

The free mini-course is a great start. You’ll learn about the myths that might be keeping you in separation—myths that are so common you probably don’t even realize you’re carrying them. And if you’re looking for real, ongoing support, check out the Twin Flame Alchemy Mastermind. It’s an opportunity to connect with others on this path, ask the questions you can’t ask anyone else, and learn to balance your energy in a way that brings clarity and peace.

6. Remember: Separation Is an Energetic State, Not a Physical One

Finally, let’s get real about separation. It’s not about the physical distance between you and your twin; it’s about the energetic state you’re in. When you’re in alignment with your soul, you’re in Unity Consciousness with your Twin Flame. No separation. But the more you look outward, the more you get advice from people who don’t understand the journey, the more you’ll feel separated from yourself—and thus, from your twin.

So don’t give your power away to people who can’t see what you’re going through. Instead, focus inward. Work on your own energy. Find guides and resources that honor this path and can help you make sense of the spiritual, emotional, and energetic shifts that are happening within you.

You don’t have to do this alone, but choose your support wisely.

Those who haven’t experienced the Twin Flame journey won’t be able to give you the perspective or guidance you need. Instead, connect with those who truly get it, who can help you stay aligned, balanced, and grounded.

I’ll see you on the other side. Stay in alignment with your truth, trust yourself, and let the journey unfold from within.

The path to unity isn’t found by looking outward—it’s found by coming home to yourself.
